Dental Receptionist

to join our friendly and professional team. This key role will help ensure the smooth operation of our front desk, provide exceptional patient service, and support administrative processes within the clinic. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in dental terminology and medical office procedures, with a strong ability to communicate effectively with both patients and staff.

A solid understanding of

dental insurance

, including

predeterminations

,

plan breakdowns

, and

insurance claim submissions

, is essential for this role. The successful candidate will be responsible for following up on

outstanding predeterminations

, addressing plan breakdowns, and ensuring timely resolution of any insurance-related issues.

Key Responsibilities:



Greet and assist patients with a professional, friendly attitude Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments Answer phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and manage communication effectively Collect and update patient information, insurance details, and medical history Verify dental insurance benefits and eligibility prior to appointments Submit

predeterminations

and

insurance claims

, both electronically and manually Follow up on

outstanding predeterminations

,

plan breakdowns

, and claim issues to ensure timely resolution Address billing inquiries, process patient payments, and manage accounts Ensure the front office is clean, organized, and welcoming for patients and staff Collaborate with the dental team to streamline patient care and ensure efficient clinic operations

Qualifications:



Previous experience in a dental or medical office environment preferred Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance processes Proficiency in dental software (We use

Oryx

, training will be provided.) Strong understanding of dental insurance, including

predeterminations

,

plan breakdowns

, and claim submission Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse patient populations Fluency in

Mandarin

or

Cantonese

is required to assist with patient communication High attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Professional, positive, and approachable demeanor
