Dental Office Administration Instructor
for our employment training program.
Position Overview
As a Dental Office Administration Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction based on our approved curriculum. You will develop and present engaging lessons, support student learning, and provide career-relevant training that prepares students for employment in dental office settings.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional sessions using interactive, career-focused teaching methods.
Develop curriculum materials and slide presentations aligned with course objectives.
Provide a supportive and enriching online learning environment.
Monitor student progress and engagement, providing feedback and guidance as needed.
Report to and collaborate with the Training Manager.
Instructional content should include:
Professional communication and business etiquette in patient interactions
Use of dental office software (Cleardent or Dentrix) for patient records, scheduling, billing, and reporting
Understanding of Canadian dental insurance (rules, clauses, limitations, and coverage specifics)
Dental anatomy, terminology, charting, treatment descriptions, and specialties
General office administration and dental clinic systems management
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a dental office administrator or receptionist
Strong knowledge of Canadian dental insurance practices and dental terminology
Proficient in Cleardent or Dentrix (advanced user or previous teaching experience preferred)
Experience teaching or training adults, preferably in educational or clinical settings
Ability to develop instructional materials and curriculum
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to explain concepts clearly and effectively to diverse learners
