Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team one day per week including the evening. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing exceptional patient care and promoting oral health education. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced dental office environment.

Duties

Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and assessments for patients of all ages, including pediatric patients. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and preferences. Utilize Dentrix software for patient record management, appointment scheduling, and treatment documentation. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety and infection control protocols. Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to provide seamless patient care, including assisting during procedures as needed. Stay current with advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in continuing education opportunities.

Experience

Previous experience in a dental office setting is preferred, showcasing strong customer service skills. Familiarity with medical terminology is beneficial for effective communication within the healthcare team. Experience or training in pediatrics is a plus, as we cater to a diverse patient demographic. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to enhance communication with our patient base. Knowledge of orthodontics is advantageous but not required for this position.
