Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team 4 1/2 days a week for six -seven weeks starting in September (dates to be confirmed). This short term post has the potential to being permanent. There may be consideration for 2 part time positions.

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care, ensuring patient comfort, and promoting oral health education. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work collaboratively within a dental office environment. The ideal candidate would be enthusiastic, have excellent organizational skills and are dependable. You must enjoy learning new things and using the newest technology and established protocols. Salary is based on experience and qualifications.

Duties

Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess oral health. Utilize Tracker software for patient records management and scheduling. We are a chartless office. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care. Maintain a sterile and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols. Collaborate with dentists and other dental professionals to develop treatment plans. Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any patient concerns or inquiries. Stay updated on medical terminology relevant to dental practices.

Experience

Previous experience as a Dental Hygienist is preferred; however, new graduates are welcome to apply. Up to date First Aid/CPR, WHMIS, IPAC required. Familiarity with Tracker software is an advantage Strong background in dental assisting or customer service within a dental office setting is beneficial.
