About the role:
Calian is proud to continue a long-standing contractual relationship with the Department of National Defence (DND) to provide healthcare services to the Canadian Armed Forces. Through the Health Care Provider Contract, Calian employs health care professionals across Canada who are integral to supporting the health and wellbeing of our military members.
Our dynamic healthcare teams consist of approximately 550 professionals providing healthcare services coast-to-coast at 30 CAF locations across Canada.
Calian is currently seeking a Dental Hygienist to work at CFB Edmonton, Alberta. The Dental Hygienist functions as a member of the dental health care team in the provision of quality dental treatment, therapeutic care and the provision of limited procedures and services as directed by a licensed Dentist.
Key activities include:
Perform scaling, root planning, curettage and polishing procedures
Provide oral hygiene instruction and nutritional counselling
Conduct periodontal examinations and record clinical findings
Take,process, and mount dental radiographs
The qualifications:
Graduate of an Accredited Dental Hygiene program
Registered within the Province of Alberta
CPR level C
Type of Assignment:
Contract: Full time: Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours a week (No evenings or weekends)
