Through the Health Care Provider Contract, Calian employs health care professionals across Canada who are integral to supporting the health and wellbeing of our military members.Position OverviewCalian is currently seeking a Dental Hygienist to work at CFB Esquimalt in Victoria, BC. The Dental Hygienist functions as a member of the dental health care team in the provision of quality dental treatment, therapeutic care and the provision of limited procedures and services as directed by a licensed Dentist. This role is ideal if you have an interest in treating the military population. This is a rewarding position where you would make a difference in the lives of the men and women who serve our country and keep us safe.Clinic hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30am \xe2\x80\x93 4:00pm. No evenings. No weekends.Pay range: 51 \xe2\x80\x93 56$/hrResponsibilities

• Perform scaling, root planning, curettage, polishing procedures, desensitizing agents, occlusal sealants and anti-cariogenic agents
• Provide oral hygiene instructions, nutritional counselling and smoking cessation
• Conduct periodontal examinations and record clinical findings
• Take digital radiographs
• Provide administrative support such as updating patient databases, scheduling programs, and maintaining patient records

• Graduate of an accredited Dental Hygiene program
• Registered with the British Columbia College of Oral Health Professionals
• CPR Level C or BLS Provider

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance at the Reliability level
