We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care, promoting oral health, and supporting the overall success of our dental team. The Dental Hygienist will be responsible for performing dental cleanings, examinations, and patient education while maintaining strict adherence to infection control protocols.

Responsibilities

Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning and polishing teeth to remove plaque, calculus, and stains. Take and develop dental radiographs as needed for diagnosis. Conduct oral health assessments and document findings accurately in patient records. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care strategies. Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, including orthodontic treatments if applicable. Maintain sterilization and infection control standards in accordance with OSHA guidelines. Manage patient appointments efficiently, ensuring a smooth flow of the schedule. Utilize dental software such as Dentrix for record keeping and appointment management. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient questions and concerns professionally. Support pediatric patients and their families with age-appropriate oral health education.

Requirements

Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice. Experience working with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software preferred. Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures is advantageous. Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Previous experience in a dental office setting is preferred; strong dental assisting skills are beneficial. Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Excellent customer service skills with a compassionate approach to patient care. Ability to work well within a team environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.

Pay: $35.71-$50.19 per hour
