We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, ensuring optimal oral health for our patients, and contributing to a positive dental experience. This position requires expertise in various dental procedures, patient assessment, and a strong commitment to infection control and patient education.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and periodontal therapy for patients of all ages. Conduct patient assessments, including taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories. Utilize dental terminology effectively to communicate with patients and staff. Assist in chairside procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow during treatments. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies. Operate dental imaging equipment for diagnostic purposes, including X-rays. Adhere to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure patient safety. Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care in both pediatric and general dentistry settings. Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.

Qualifications

Current certification and good standing with CDHO Current CPR, IPAC and WHMIS Proven experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred, with familiarity in Abeldent software being an asset. Strong understanding of dental insurance, including social assistance programs such as ODSP, HSO, CDCP, NIHB Strong understanding of anatomy, medical terminology, and documentation review processes. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with patients of all ages. Efficient time management for patient appointments to ensure your remain on time in your schedule
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $36.00-$42.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 - 7 per week
