for the Fall 2024 semester
DISCIPLINE: DENTAL HYGIENE (111)
TYPE OF CONTRACT: Regular full-time contract spread over 2 semesters (available post/poste disponible) for the 2024-2025 academic year leading to possible tenure.
AREA OF EXPERTISE: To teach Dental Hygiene courses to First, Second, and Third year Dental Hygiene students QUALIFICATIONS:
DENTAL HYGIENE (111)
- Diploma in Dental Hygiene
- Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree
- Training in educational theory and methodology preferred
- Must be a current member of the Ordre des hygi\xc3\xa9nistes dentaires du Qu\xc3\xa9bec (OHDQ)
- Minimum of 3 years appropriate professional/directly related experience preferred
- Teaching experience at the post-secondary level preferred
- Ability to collaborate within a departmental team to achieve common objectives
- Excellent English communication skills essential
- Bilingualism (English/French) and ability to teach in French are preferred, as in the context of Bill 96 and the changes to the Charte de la langue fran\xc3\xa7aise, if there is a need, the candidate must be willing and able to teach in French.
For supervisory positions in the Clinic environment
- D.D.S or D.M.D. degree
- Must be a current member in good standing of the \xe2\x80\x9cOrdre des dentistes du Qu\xc3\xa9bec\xe2\x80\x9d
- Minimum of 3 years appropriate/directly related experience preferred
- Several years related teaching experience at the post-secondary level preferred
- Ability to collaborate within a departmental team to achieve common objectives
