Dentistry on Dundas is currently looking to hire a Certified Level II Dental Assistant to join our busy and well-established practice. Responsibilities:
Clinical chairside assisting duties including knowledge of instrumentation
Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour
Prepare treatment room in accordance with infection control and practice protocols for each patient
Thorough understanding of practice health and safety requirements
Proficiency in dental assisting procedures including chairside assisting, taking X-rays, and understanding dental terminology.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality are maintained at all times.
Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge relevant to dentistry and medical terminology related to dental care.
Ability to operate dental equipment such as 3D scanners, medical imaging devices, and other diagnostic tools efficiently.
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages, especially in pediatric dentistry settings.
Demonstrated commitment to infection control practices and aseptic techniques in a clinical environment.
Prior experience in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry clinics is highly desirable
About You:
Registered and/or certified as a Dental Assistant with the Ontario Dental Assisting Association
Certified with the National Dental Assistant Examining Board (N.D.A.E.B) is required
HARP certified
Previous dental assisting experience is preferred
Strong written and communication skills
Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
Punctual and reliable
Tracker experience an asset but will train
