Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice. This position requires a combination of clinical and administrative skills, making it essential for the candidate to be organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about dentistry.

Responsibilities

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all equipment is ready for use. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to optimize office efficiency. Handle administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and managing patient inquiries. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high standards of care in a friendly environment.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or similar role is preferred. Familiarity with dental software such as Dentrix is a plus. Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry is essential. Experience in pediatrics or orthodontics is advantageous but not mandatory. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism. Certification in Dental Assisting or relevant qualifications is preferred.

Pay: $29.00-$32.00 per hour
