Dental Assistant Needed in Vernon, BC! Make up to $33/hr!

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans. Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions. Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow to optimize office efficiency. Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness of the dental operatory. Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient experiences. Perform administrative tasks as required, including managing billing processes and insurance claims.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred, with knowledge of dental terminology and procedures. Familiarity with dental software such as Dentrix or Epic is a plus. Experience in specialized areas such as Pediatrics or Orthodontics is advantageous. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Certification in Dental Assisting or relevant qualifications is preferred.
