We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the dental team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with procedures, and ensuring smooth daily operations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, utilizing your dental assisting skills and expanding your expertise in various dental specialties including orthodontics and pediatrics. Experience with dental software such as Epic and Dentrix is preferred, along with familiarity with CAD technology. A strong understanding of medical terminology and dental procedures is essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments to maintain a clean and safe environment
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, including Ortho, Endo, Surgery, crown and bridge treatments and pediatric dentistry
Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD imaging tools when necessary
Manage patient records accurately using dental software such as Epic and Dentrix
Provide patient education on oral health care, post-treatment instructions, and preventive practices
Handle assisting tasks including Greeting patient, checking in patients, and managing patient flow as a dental assistant
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain infection control standards
Support the team with inventory management of dental supplies and materials
Skills
Proficiency in dental software platforms ABELdent
Knowledge of Dental Procedures
Familiarity with CAD imaging technology for diagnostic purposes
Strong understanding of Dental terminology related to dentistry
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages
Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Prior experience in dental assisting is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
Certification or training in dental assisting is highly desirable
