We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional patient care and ensuring smooth daily operations. Prior experience with dental software such as Epic and Dentrix, as well as familiarity with orthodontics and pediatrics, will be highly valued. Duties
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary supplies for procedures
Assist the dentist during examinations, procedures, and treatments, including orthodontic work
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using CAD technology when required
Manage patient records accurately using dental software such as Epic and Dentrix
Provide pre- and post-operative instructions to patients and answer their questions
Ensure patient comfort by explaining procedures and addressing concerns with professionalism
Maintain infection control standards in compliance with OSHA regulations
Support front desk operations as needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
Assist in ordering supplies and maintaining inventory levels
Skills
Proficiency with dental software platforms such as Epic and Dentrix
Experience with orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures
Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental care
Ability to perform dental assisting duties efficiently while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety
Familiarity with CAD imaging technology for diagnostic purposes
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, staff, and providers
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while remaining organized and attentive to detail
Previous experience as a dental receptionist or in medical administration is a plus
