Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and assisting the dental team in various clinical and administrative tasks. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix or Epic. Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care. Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow efficiently, including reception duties when necessary. Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness of the dental operatory. Assist with orthodontic procedures and CAD applications as required. Support pediatric patients with a friendly demeanor to ensure a comfortable experience.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred, with knowledge of orthodontics being a plus. Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry. Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Dentrix or Epic is highly desirable. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated. Certification in Dental Assisting or equivalent training is preferred but not mandatory. Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients of all ages, including children.
