Parkdale Dental Centre

is an established family practice looking for a Certified Level 2 Assistant who wants to find a great dental home. The position has a start date of early January 2026. Workdays are Monday through Friday. New grads welcome, mentorship available.

We are seeking a full-time, 1-year contract experienced Dental Assistant who can work in our

dental facility

in Ottawa, ON

. This is an ideal position for a new graduate seeking experience or an experienced Dental Assistant seeking a faster paced environment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Assist the dentist through each dental procedure while maintaining patient comfort and safety

Prepare patients for treatments and check their medical records Maintain accurate patient records and assist with medical care needs after treatment Conduct post-operative instructions Assist dentists during chairside procedures, i.e., preparing patients for treatments and ensuring a smooth procedure Clean and maintain patient rooms/work areas Help set up equipment Help prepare materials for procedures Provide instructions for patient treatments and answer questions about dental care in general

Qualifications:

Must be proficient in the use of dental instruments including but not limited to: manual, electric, x-ray, etc.
Knowledge of basic medical terminology
Strong attention to detail

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $20.00-$27.00 per hour
