Job Description
We are looking for a part time Dental Assistant to join our team. We are a busy general dental practice. The work schedule would be minimum 3 days a week 7:45-5:00, with the potential to be full time. No evening or weekends. Free onsite parking.
Clinical duties may include equipment preparation and sterilization, preparing patients for treatment, assisting the dentist during treatment, and providing patients with instructions for oral healthcare procedures.
Responsibilities:
Prepare patient, sterilize or disinfect instruments, set up instrument trays, prepare materials, or assist dentist during dental procedures. Record treatment information in patient records. Expose dental diagnostic x-rays. Take and record medical and dental histories. Assist dentist in management of medical or dental emergencies. Provide postoperative instructions prescribed by the dentist. Make preliminary impressions for study casts and occlusal registrations for mounting study casts. Pour and trim study casts.
Qualification/Skills:
Successful completion of Dental Assisting Certificate HARP certification Confident, positive, self motivated and independent with a true passion for dentistry and great chair side manners Friendly and approachable Valid CPR Certification
