We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office while providing exceptional care to our patients. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Maintain accurate patient records and manage appointment schedules using dental software such as Dentrix or Abeldent.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness in the treatment area to adhere to safety protocols.
Manage inventory of dental supplies and ensure that all necessary materials are readily available.
Provide support in administrative tasks, including answering phones and handling patient inquiries when necessary.
Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality patient care, particularly in specialized areas such as pediatrics or orthodontics.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Previous dental assisting experience preferred.
Successful completion of a Dental Assisting Certificate preferred.
Level 2 and HARP certification required.
Valid CPR Certification.
Flexible schedule with availability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
Punctual and reliable.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to various patient needs.
Experience with Dental practice management software (Dentrix/ Abeldent) is required.
