Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the dental team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with procedures, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your skills in dental assisting and patient communication are highly valued. Prior experience with dental software such as Clear Dent as well as knowledge of orthodontics and pediatrics, will be considered advantageous.

Duties

Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments to ensure a safe and efficient environment Assist the dentist during various procedures, including orthodontic treatments and pediatric dentistry Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when necessary Manage patient records accurately using Dental software systems Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with health regulations Support front desk duties as a dental receptionist when needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow Educate patients on oral health care and post-treatment instructions Ensure adherence to medical terminology standards for documentation

Qualifications

Proven experience in dental assisting, with familiarity in orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry preferred Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy clinical setting Certification or licensing in dental assisting, relevant training or internships.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.68-$29.64 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 30 per week
