Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care. Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans. Sterilize instruments and ensure compliance with infection control protocols. Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the office. Handle administrative tasks such as filing, billing, and insurance verification. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred; familiarity with orthodontics or pediatrics is a plus. Knowledge of medical terminology and dental procedures is essential. Proficiency in dental software such as Dentrix or Epic is highly desirable. Experience with CAD technology is an advantage. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $19.00-$25.00 per hour
