Duties
As a Dental Assistant, your primary responsibilities will include:
Assisting the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
Taking and developing dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.
Educating patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
Maintaining accurate patient records using dental software such as Abeldent
Sterilizing instruments and ensuring compliance with infection control protocols.
Scheduling appointments and managing patient flow within the office.
Supporting front office duties when necessary, including answering phones and greeting patients.
Collaborating with the dental team to provide exceptional care in a friendly environment.
Experience
The ideal candidate will possess:
Previous experience in dental assisting or a related field is preferred.
Familiarity with dental software systems, particularly Abeldent is highly desirable.
Knowledge of medical terminology to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare professionals.
Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
A proactive attitude towards learning new techniques and staying updated on industry best practices.
