We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient operation within the clinic while providing exceptional care to our patients. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with dentists and other healthcare professionals to support various dental procedures, maintain patient records, and create a welcoming environment for patients of all ages.
Responsibilities
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist.
Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and preventive dental practices.
Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to optimize office efficiency.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care and satisfaction.
Skills
Proficiency in medical terminology related to dentistry.
Experience in pediatrics is a plus for working with younger patients.
Knowledge of dental assisting techniques and procedures.
Familiarity with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) systems used in dentistry.
Understanding of orthodontics principles is beneficial.
Experience with electronic health record systems such as Epic is advantageous.
Skills in dental receptionist duties, including appointment scheduling and patient communication.
Proficiency in using Dentrix software for managing patient records and billing.
