Job Overview
We are a growing family practice seeking a dedicated, skilled and experienced Registered Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office while providing exceptional care to our patients. This position involves assisting the dentist during procedures, managing patient records, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Duties
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available. - Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required. - Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all supplies are stocked. - Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, confirming, and rescheduling as necessary. - Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans. - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care. - Collaborate with other dental staff to ensure a high standard of care is provided to all patients. - Handle administrative tasks such as billing, insurance claims, and managing office inventory.
Skills
- Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and procedures. - Familiarity with dental software systems such as Cleardent is preferred. - Knowledge of pediatrics is a plus. - Ability to understand and use medical terminology effectively. - Experience with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) tools is advantageous. - Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members. - Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to maintain accurate records. - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while providing compassionate patient care. - Preferance will be given to knowledge and/or experience with front end practices.
