Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing chairside assistance, managing patient records, and ensuring a clean and efficient environment. This role is vital in delivering high-quality dental care and enhancing patient experience. Prior experience with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic, along with knowledge of HIPAA regulations, is highly desirable. The Dental Assistant will work closely with dentists to facilitate procedures across general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics.

Duties



Assist dentists during various procedures including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric treatments Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations Record vital signs and medical history information accurately for each patient Provide chairside assistance using four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency Educate patients on dental procedures, post-care instructions, and oral health maintenance Maintain a sterile environment following infection control standards and OSHA guidelines Assist with medical imaging procedures including 3D scanning when applicable Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing medical documentation

Qualifications



Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting; experience with dental clinic operations preferred Proficiency in dental software systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic is highly advantageous Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols Familiarity with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely and accurately Experience with pediatric dentistry is a plus Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and sterilization processes Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members Certification or training in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory; on-the-job training will be provided for qualified candidates

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
