Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice, Dental Crafters in Oakville, ON. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting our dental team, ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of care in a friendly and efficient environment. This position requires a blend of clinical skills and administrative capabilities, making it essential for the candidate to be well-versed in various aspects of dental assisting.

Duties

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures. Take digital dental radiographs (X-rays) as required. Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness of the dental ops. Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans. Handle minor administrative tasks such as tooth charting and inventory management. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a smooth workflow and high-quality patient care.

Requirements

Certification or diploma in Dental Assisting from an accredited program is preferred. Proficiency in using dental software such as Curve Dental or Oryx is highly desirable. Familiarity with General Dentistry (Restorative, Endodontics, Extractions etc) pediatrics, and medical terminology is a plus. Rest of the training is provided at the clinic. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Previous experience as assistant/receptionist is highly preferred. A commitment to providing exceptional patient care with a compassionate approach. A positive attitude to learning.

Pay: $20.35-$31.04 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 35 per week
