Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and skilled

Certified Dental Assistant (CDA)

to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of dental procedures, patient care, and office management. This role is essential in ensuring a smooth workflow in the clinic while providing exceptional support to both the dental team and patients. The CDA will play a vital role in enhancing patient experiences and maintaining high standards of care.

Duties



Assist dentists during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and maintain dental instruments, equipment, and materials for various treatments. Take and develop X-rays as needed, ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and other necessary medical documentation accurately. Manage patient records in EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring HIPAA compliance. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions. Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to infection control protocols. Support pediatric dentistry needs by providing compassionate care to young patients. Assist with administrative tasks including scheduling appointments and managing medical records.

Skills



Proficient in using EMR systems, particularly Dentrix and Eaglesoft. Knowledgeable in dental terminology, anatomy, and procedures including prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry. Experience with chairside assisting techniques and aseptic practices. Familiarity with medical imaging technologies such as 3D scanners is advantageous. Understanding of medical documentation standards including coding and record keeping. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, especially in pediatric settings. Ability to work collaboratively within a dental team while demonstrating excellent organizational skills. Prior experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred but not mandatory. Pay: $22.31-$34.71 per hour
