Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dental team with various clinical and administrative tasks. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix and Epic. Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently. Provide education to patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans. Support orthodontic procedures and assist with pediatric dentistry when necessary. Utilize CAD technology for creating dental models or assisting in treatment planning.

Experience

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred, with familiarity in both general dentistry and specialized fields such as orthodontics or pediatrics being advantageous. Proficiency in using dental software systems like Dentrix and Epic is highly desirable. Knowledge of medical terminology related to dental practices is essential. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment are required. Certification in dental assisting or completion of an accredited dental assistant program is preferred.
