Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office while providing exceptional care to our patients. This position requires a proactive individual who is passionate about dental health and committed to supporting both the dental team and patients.

Duties

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared. Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as required. Provide patient education on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans. Maintain accurate patient records using dental software systems, (knowledge of akitu one software preferred- not mandatory) Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow within the office. Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness of the treatment area in accordance with infection control protocols. Support orthodontic procedures and assist with pediatric dentistry as needed. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred. Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is essential. Proficiency in using dental software (knowledge of akitu one software preferred- not mandatory) Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor to effectively interact with patients and team members. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Certification in Dental Assisting or equivalent training is required.

Pay: $26.00-$30.00 per hour
