Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring that all aspects of the project are accounted for. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes and pricing strategies, as well as the ability to negotiate effectively with vendors and subcontractors.

Duties

Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates. Utilize construction estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to generate precise estimates. Collaborate with project managers to understand project requirements and scope. Conduct negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favorable pricing. Prepare detailed reports and presentations on estimates for review by management. Monitor project budgets and expenditures throughout the lifecycle of the project. Stay updated on industry trends, pricing changes, and new materials or techniques in construction.

Skills

Proficiency in construction estimating software including Bluebeam and HeavyBid. Strong negotiation skills to effectively manage vendor relationships. Excellent project management capabilities to oversee multiple projects simultaneously. In-depth knowledge of construction processes and methodologies. Ability to analyze complex data sets and provide accurate pricing estimates. Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in all estimations. Pay: $45,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
