Position Title: Demand Planning Analyst

Team and Location: STaR - Calgary, AB

Minimum Starting Salary from: $ 76,000 /year

Position Summary:

Parkland has established a Demand Planning team for fuel supply across Canada, the US, and the Caribbean. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing team as we create value chain systems, processes, training, and teams. This role will play an integral part in the creation of a new value chain function and capability at Parkland \xe2\x80\x93 if you are looking for the opportunity to make your mark at a fast-moving, quickly-growing leader in fuel, and be recognized for it, this role is for you!

The Demand Planning Analyst will be responsible for day to day and strategic analysis of supply data, market demand, market indicators, and results for Parkland Corporation\xe2\x80\x99s Fuel Demand Planning activities. Specific functions include the maintenance of Anaplan models, data retrieval systems, and optimization processes which will ensure Parkland\xe2\x80\x99s customer-facing operations teams have visibility and analytics to support pricing and operational decisions. The Analyst will need to provide reporting and dashboards to enable others to interpret market factors, trends, customer demand, product costs and locations. The ability to interpret data, maintain systems and processes, and implement change to drive profitability will be essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • This position will be an agent for change; working within cross-functional teams within various internal and external organizations, and ensuring best practices are followed. The Analyst will utilize strong data analytics to drive the team\xe2\x80\x99s strategic decisions.
  • The Analyst will be responsible for contributing to multiple high-profile projects simultaneously, while supporting decision-making and process implementation. The candidate should have leadership experience, as well as demonstrated successes thriving in cross-functional environments. Fuel experience is preferred.
  • This is a high impact, highly visible, multi-market position in the Value Chain organization.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Proven ability to operate on cross-functional teams through collaboration, and consensus-building, preferably on a value chain team
  • A strong and proven bias towards action and change leadership
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree, preferably in engineering, mathematics, technology, finance, business, or science, but relevant experience will be considered for other degrees
  • 2+ years data analytics experience, preferably in value chain
  • Anaplan experience highly preferred
  • A background in fuel supply and products is an asset
  • Strong computer skills beyond MS Office suite, preference for value chain systems and for coding ability
  • Willingness and ability to travel \xe2\x80\x93 some overnights will be required within Canada. Potential opportunity to travel to USA / Caribbean.
  • Strong analytical and market research skills
  • Ability to negotiate successful outcomes
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with competing deadlines
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, both internally and externally
  • Ability to understand, synthesize and extract insights from large amounts of data and market information
  • Strong collaboration and communication written/verbal skills are key
