Yard location: Chatham, ON

Workday: Monday to Friday

No Statutory Holidays

Shift time: 6:00AM to 3:00PM

Overtime paid after 9 hours of work.

Overtime: based on freight volume and delays ie. weather, mechanical etc.

What you will do:

Drive a 3 ton Refrigerated Truck to deliver freights to assigned stops in Windsor and Lasalle areas*
Deliver freights in good condition and within scheduled time

(20 to 40 deliveries daily)*

Load and Unload freight in proper sequence with the use of a dolley and or manual pallet jack (lift 50lbs)*
Use a handheld device to scan documents and freights Complete any necessary paperwork accurately Perform all safety checks, including pre-trip and post-trip inspection Report on all safety hazards and accidents Use a cellular phone to communicate with dispatch ie. Truck breakdowns, delivery concerns, answer calls, texts etc.... Provide excellent customer service Build strong client relationships Adhere to safety and compliance regulations Additional duties as required

What we require of you:

High School Diploma Valid G Class Driver's License Clean CVOR and Personal Driver's Abstract Courier or LTL experience is an asset Must have 2 year

COMMERCIAL TRUCK DRIVINGexperience on the road This shift is a10 hour workday with start times from 6:00AM to 3:00PM. Overtime will be paid. At times capable of doing physical labour with a great degree of strength and stamina to load and unload -

Lift or carry up to 50lbs,

hand bomb, dolley and or use a pallet jack (manual)*
Excellent communication and problem solving skills Strong organizational skills Attention to detail and accuracy in paperwork Customer Focus - experience providing quality customer service Adaptable to change Experience working in a fast paced environment Experience working independently and with minimal supervision Ability to work on a team and being a team player Must be comfortable with using onboard or handheld computer devices Must have a safety and compliance mind set
