Position Summary



As a Delivery Driver/Warehouse Associate at Grimco, you will play a vital role in ensuring our products reach our customers safely and efficiently. You will be responsible for navigating delivery routes, handling orders with care, and providing exceptional customer service. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.

This is a permanent position with the working hours of Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm.

Key Responsibilities and Duties



Delivery Operations:

Drive a company vehicle to deliver products to customers along specified routes, ensuring timely and safe deliveries.

Order Handling:

Carefully manage all orders to guarantee goods are received in good condition, free from damage or defects.

Customer Service:

Provide outstanding customer service during deliveries, effectively communicating feedback and concerns to the warehouse and sales teams.

Loading and Unloading:

Load and unload delivery trucks using both manual methods and forklifts or other lift assist equipment.

Payment Collection:

Collect payment for Cash on Delivery (COD) orders, including cash, cheques, and credit card payments.

Vehicle Maintenance:

Perform regular safety checks on the delivery vehicle and maintain a driver logbook as required by provincial legislation.

Receiving and Unloading:

Unload incoming trucks both manually and using a forklift. Inspect shipments to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with company standards. Accurately receive items into the ERP system and update inventory records. Organize and store inventory in designated locations within the warehouse, ensuring efficient use of space and easy retrieval.

Order Fulfillment:

Accurately pick and pack customer orders, ensuring products are packaged securely and correctly. Ensure orders are prepared and ready for shipping in a timely manner to meet customer expectations.

Equipment Operation:

Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and other warehouse material handling equipment. Follow all operational guidelines for equipment use to ensure safety and efficiency.

Additional Duties:

Assist with other tasks as assigned, including warehouse support, housekeeping, maintenance, and special projects

Requirements



2-5 years of previous experience driving vehicles for delivery or commercial purposes. Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean Driver's Abstract. Completed High School Diploma or equivalent. Professional appearance and the ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds. A reliable work ethic, dedicated to completing tasks efficiently and effectively. Reliable transportation to and from work. Clean criminal background and strong work references

Knowledge and Skills



Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry tools and warehouse materials weighing up to 50+ pounds frequently throughout the day. Capacity to sit, stand, and walk for a full workday, with the ability to bend, twist, squat, kneel, and lift repeatedly. Strong attention to detail when fulfilling orders. A strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to all safety protocols. Ability to recognize safety hazards and act promptly to address them. Interest in advancing with Grimco and contributing to the long-term success of the company. Potential for overtime hours, career advancement, and supervisory responsibilities in the future.
