Your Contribution
As a
Delivery Driver/Warehouse Assistant
, you will play a key role in The Delivery Driver/Warehouse Assistant is responsible for ensuring timely delivery of products to predetermined customers on specific routes, reviewing orders prior to delivery, pulling product from stock to fulfill orders, replenishing inventory into stock, loading and unloading delivery vehicles and providing exceptional customer service to our client base. Delivery Driver/Warehouse Assistant
includes:
Delivery of medical equipment, manual wheelchairs, power wheelchairs, lifts, etc.
Notify management of complaints as well as provide information to clients when required
Check equipment for visible health hazards prior to placing in vehicle when performing pickups
Obtain signatures for all invoices upon delivery
Maintain delivery log
Schedule vehicle maintenance and operate the vehicle in a safe manner
Ensure equipment is handled according to standards
Collect cash on delivery payments and return to the accounting department with a copy of the invoice
Display respectful behaviour at all times to employees, clients, managers and stakeholders
Pull stock to fill Homecare orders - update order status in computer system
Advise supervisor / purchaser of backordered items
Re-stock shelves once orders are received
Maintain organized Homecare warehouse
Prepare for regular Homecare deliveries on 1st and 15th of each month
Other tasks as required
Your Qualifications
Computer knowledge
This position requires the selected candidate to sit, stand, lift and walk throughout the day.
Physically able to lift 20 lbs. above shoulder height
Ability to maneuver equipment to various areas of facilities
Patience, compassion and strong listening skills
Clear communication and a positive attitude
Excellent time management capabilities and flexibility
Client focused including going above and beyond so our clients leave feeling everything has been taken care of for them
Willingness to learn and develop new skills
Knowledge of products an asset
Clean Driver's abstract and valid driver's
Applicants should be comfortable dealing with vulnerable people that have various special needs and be empathetic to their circumstances. Applicants must be compliant with public health and workplace safety regulations.
