Responsibilities

As a Sub-Contractor/Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for:

Timely and Accurate Deliveries:

Picking up packages from designated locations and delivering them across the Montreal area while following established timelines and routes.

Route Optimization:

Planning and executing efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity and meet daily targets.

Package Handling:

Safely loading, unloading, and securing packages to prevent damage.

Customer Service:

Maintaining professionalism and courtesy when interacting with customers.

Documentation:

Completing delivery paperwork accurately, including proofs of delivery and incident reports.

Vehicle Maintenance:

Ensuring your vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and in good working condition.

Maintenance vehicle type:

Cargo van, Mini van( Cargo van preferred)

Compliance:

Following all traffic laws, safety standards, and company policies.

Communication:

Keeping clear and consistent communication with Baraka Transport dispatch and management.

Qualifications

Valid Class 5 (or equivalent) driver's license with a clean driving record. Clean criminal background and driver abstract (required before starting). Ability to lift and carry packages of various sizes and weights. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Strong knowledge of Montreal and surrounding areas. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Prior delivery experience

or at least 5 years of driving experience

required. Must be legally authorized to work as an independent contractor in Canada.
