Job Summary

East Van Laundry is seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver (contractor) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting clean laundry to various locations in Vancouver while picking up their dirty laundry and transporting it back to the shop. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, attention to detail, a large personal vehicle, and the ability to navigate various routes while adhering to safety regulations. You will be driving your personal vehicle, you MUST have a car.

Responsibilities

Safely operate your

personal vehicle

, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations. Picking up clean laundry at the shop, delivering it to the businesses, and bringing back their dirty laundry. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each trip. Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Provide excellent customer service by addressing any questions or concerns from clients during deliveries.

Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver's license. Physically fit - Able to lift 30lb multiple times Excellent navigation skills with the ability to read maps and use GPS systems effectively. Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and team members. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule

Weekdays & Weekdays 7am-10/11am MUST be available minimum SUN, TUES, WED, FRI from JULY 13 - AUG 10 from 7am-12pm

Requirements

Class 5 drivers license Large personal vehicle (SUV or Minivan is ideal) Able to lift 15-30 laundry bags that weigh 10-20lb each per shift

Others

As a driver, you will be required to have a minimal car decal on the sides and back of your car during the delivery times. You will be hired as a

contractor

, thus, you will be responsible for invoicing the business that the end of the month. The hourly wage is all encompassing -- there is no additional additional compensation for gas
