Delivery drivers are responsible for transporting goods from the warehouse to the customer. A specified schedule is to be followed and the most efficient routes are to be identified to avoid delays. Through regular vehicle check-ups and maintenance, company vehicles are to be kept in good working condition and drivers are expected to always follow traffic laws and ensure safe delivery. Customer service is key in this position to maintain a positive brand image.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepares and loads deliveries into vans.
Drives and delivers products as planned in a timely manner.
Plans and books general maintenance of vehicles with mechanic (Example: oil changes)
Maintain a safe, clean, and operational vehicle.
Collaborate with the warehouse team and inform them of any late deliveries, or issues that arise throughout their day.
Gain a thorough understanding of the local area and the most efficient routes.
Adhere to all company and customer health and safety policies
Ability to travel throughout Southern Ontario, with flexibility to adjust routes as business needs evolve.
Other duties as assigned.

Communication skills: Professionally communicate with colleagues, peers, and senior managers. This includes both verbal and written communication. This means being able to work though situations that may be difficult in a professional manner, as well as distinguishing the proper time to communicate in a "professional" vs. "friendly" manner.
Authority response: Able to communicate properly with their managers or supervisors, this includes keeping composer and taking constructive criticism in a professional manner.
Working Independently: Able to focus and complete tasks and duties while being unsupervised. Ability to request assistance when needed.
Dealing with change: Can cope with sudden changes in their daily duties, ability to not have to finish something before moving to another duty.
Critical Thinking: making sure to properly assess a situation and know the steps to work through problems if they arise, making sure to follow the proper steps such as: Analyzing, Reasoning, Problem solving, decision make and evaluation.
Ethics: Understanding the difference between right and wrong decisions and having integrity to act on this type of knowledge.
Requirements:
Highschool Diploma or GED
Level G driver's license in good standing
Safe driving record for a minimum of one year
Must have Smart serve certification.
