Core Responsibilities



Safely operate a typical cargo van (e.g. Mercededs Sprinter, Ford Transit) to complete scheduled deliveries and pick-ups across assigned routes. Load, secure, and unload goods with care, ensuring products arrive in excellent condition. Verify and document shipments, including delivery manifests, invoices, or electronic logs. Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers regarding delivery status, delays, or issues. Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any mechanical concerns promptly. Follow all road safety rules, company policies, and Ministry of Transportation regulations. Maintain cleanliness of the truck and ensure it is fueled and ready for use. Provide courteous, professional customer service at delivery points, including taking reorders, handling returns, or collecting payments where required. Assist with basic warehouse tasks (e.g., organizing deliveries, helping with loading dock) during downtime. Reports to warehouse supervisor

Skills & Experience



Ideal candidates will have 3+ years of driving experience. Valid Ontario Class G. Clean driver's abstract with proven safe driving record.
Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 20 kg. Strong knowledge of local road networks and safe driving practices. Good time management skills and the ability to follow delivery schedules. Attention to detail for verifying orders, paperwork, and delivery accuracy. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for customer-facing interactions. Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Basic mechanical awareness to recognize and report truck issues. Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, or overtime when needed. Experience driving a 3-tonne or 5-tonne truck will also be beneficial but not necessary.
*Successful candidates will be asked to provide 3-year driver's abstract ordered through Service Ontario.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.05-$25.25 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 44 per week
