Overview

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team here at Freedom Delivery Inc. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, as well as the ability to operate various types of vehicles and equipment. The Delivery Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Safely operate delivery vehicle ; a Cube Truck to transport goods to designated locations. Load and unload freight, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in safe working condition. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery/report logs and any necessary paperwork. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Adhere to traffic laws and company policies while driving, ensuring the safety of yourself and others on the road. Assist with inventory management by reporting any discrepancies or damages during transit.

Qualifications

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is preferred. Familiarity with freight handling procedures and best practices for safe transportation of goods. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in order to meet delivery deadlines. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with customers and team members. Ability to lift heavy items (up to 75 pounds) and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading freight. Schedule

Monday to Friday

730 am to 530pm

Some days as late as 630 pm

This position is for our London route

Estimated stops per day 70-80 stops per day

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 - 50 per week
