We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism to uphold our company's reputation for dependable service. Applicant must have own vehicle. SUV or minivan preferred.
Duties
Safely operate delivery vehicles, including commercial trucks and vans, to transport freight and goods to designated locations.
Load and unload packages
Verify delivery orders and ensure accurate documentation of shipments.
Navigate routes efficiently using GPS or maps to meet delivery schedules.
Communicate with dispatch and customers to confirm delivery times and address any issues or delays.
Maintain cleanliness and safety standards of the vehicle and work environment at all times.
Qualifications
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record suitable for commercial driving.
Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols.
Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting is a plus.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate documentation.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
Physical ability to lift medium weight loads and perform manual tasks related to freight handling.
Prior experience in commercial driving or logistics is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided as needed.
