Fort Garry Industries has an exciting opportunity for a Delivery Driver to join our team at our Sudbury location.


This is a 6-month term position with the possibility of becoming permanent.


What You Will Do:


Deliver FGI products to customers on designated routes while building strong relationships with customers
Load materials into the vehicle and install straps, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit
Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate
Report any missing or damaged product to management and follow up
Pick up cores and any return merchandise and tag at the branch for vendor return
Uphold and embody FGI Customer Service Standards and Core Values with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders
Champion FGI's safety culture by performing all duties within established procedures and practices
Other duties as assigned


What We Require


Valid class 5/G drivers' license
5 years of Canadian driving experience with no major driving infractions, combined with strong knowledge of Winnipeg and the surrounding areas -- you know the traffic patterns, not just the roads
Demonstrated direct customer service experience while working in a similar role/position
Able to meet the physical requirements: Occasionally lift up to 75 - 100lbs, sit for long periods of time
High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) required
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and attention to detail
Excellent customer service skills - Dedicated to exceeding the expectations of internal and external customers
Strong communication skills - Confident in delivering clear and detailed information to customers and team members
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and technology - Able to learn in-house systems
Heavy duty parts supply background and/or knowledge is an asset
