Duties

Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Load and unload freight, ensuring that items are secured properly during transit. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery times, mileage, and any issues encountered. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road. Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns from clients.

Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type. Knowledge of automotive repair is a plus for maintaining vehicle functionality. Experience operating heavy equipment or forklifts is advantageous for loading and unloading freight efficiently. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks. Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
