Overview

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, a commitment to customer service, and the ability to handle various types of freight. This position requires a keen attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations. Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling of items. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road. Assist in the maintenance of delivery vehicles, including basic automotive repair when necessary. Operate forklifts and heavy equipment as needed for loading and unloading tasks.

Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver's license. Knowledge of automotive repair principles is a plus. Familiarity with freight handling procedures and regulations. Ability to operate forklifts and heavy equipment safely. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
