We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering bakery products to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent driving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing exceptional service. As a Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in maintaining customer satisfaction and supporting our logistics operations.
Responsibilities
Safely operate 5-ton truck to transport bakery products to designated locations.
Verifying Invoices and Ensuring Correct product counts at each stop.
Physical Lifting and Product handling.
Stocking and merchandising bread on shelves according to store planograms.
Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling and securing of items.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for tracking purposes.
Communicate effectively customers regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise.
Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
Assist with heavy equipment operation as needed during deliveries.
Support and contribute to the growth of sales along the assigned route.
Skills
Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver's license.
Familiarity with freight handling procedures and regulations.
Ability to lift heavy and repeatedly.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members.
Attention to detail in following delivery instructions and safety protocols.
Requirements

Valid class 5 driver's license.
Previous experience in customer service is considered an asset.
Must have clean driving record.
