Position Summary:
Ainsworth is currently seeking a Delivery Driver to support our field operations. This role is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of parts and materials to field technicians across various job sites. In addition, the successful candidate will assist the Warehouse Coordinator with material handling, inventory organization, and loading/unloading supplier shipments.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate company vehicle to deliver mechanical and electrical parts, tools, and materials to field technicians.
Coordinate with dispatch and warehouse teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
Assist the Warehouse Coordinator with receiving, sorting, and organizing materials.
Load and unload delivery vehicles and supplier trucks using appropriate equipment.
Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections and ensure regular maintenance is reported.
Follow all safety regulations and company procedures during deliveries and while working in the warehouse.
Communicate effectively with technicians, suppliers, and internal staff to ensure smooth logistics operations.
Support warehouse inventory counts, and stock replenishment as needed.
Qualifications:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (Class 5)
Previous experience in delivery driving or warehouse/logistics support preferred.
Ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to 50 lbs]) safely.
Knowledge of mechanical and electrical parts considered an asset.
Strong time management, organizational, and communication skills.
Forklift certification is an asset (or willingness to obtain).
Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions:
Regular travel within the service region.
Warehouse and field environment exposure.
