Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving and a strong understanding of freight operations. You will play a crucial role in maintaining our commitment to excellent customer service and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations. Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling and securing of items during transit. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Maintain accurate delivery records, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery confirmations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road. Assist with basic automotive repairs as needed to ensure vehicle reliability. Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment when necessary for loading and unloading tasks.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred but not required. Experience in freight handling and logistics operations is a plus. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including forklifts, is highly desirable. Basic knowledge of automotive repair techniques is an advantage. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively. Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members. Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) safely as required during deliveries. A commitment to safety and adherence to all relevant regulations while on the job.
