Responsibilities
Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including box trucks and courier vans, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Load and unload goods using manual handling techniques, forklifts, or pallet jacks as needed, ensuring items are secured properly for transit.
Follow designated delivery routes efficiently, managing time effectively to meet delivery schedules.
Verify delivery orders against invoices or packing lists, ensuring accuracy before dispatching goods to customers.
Provide exceptional customer service by greeting clients professionally, answering questions, and addressing concerns politely.
Maintain cleanliness and routine maintenance of the delivery vehicle to ensure optimal performance.
Complete all necessary documentation such as delivery logs, route sheets, and incident reports accurately.
Experience
Prior experience as a delivery driver or courier is highly preferred.
Familiarity with warehouse operations and experience with heavy lifting or moving goods is advantageous.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience driving manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
Knowledge of route driving techniques and navigation tools to optimize delivery efficiency.
Hands-on experience operating commercial vehicles such as box trucks or similar load-bearing vehicles.
Ability to lift heavy packages safely using proper manual handling techniques or equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks when required.
