Overview

Summerhill Market is looking for a

hands-on Deli & Cheese Production Team Lead

to join our team at the Rosedale location. In this role, you'll actively participate in slicing deli meats, cutting cheeses, and preparing products in a fast-paced production environment. You'll lead by example on the floor--ensuring top-quality product preparation, accurate order fulfillment for our retail stores, and strict adherence to food safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Work alongside the production team, slicing deli meats, cutting cheeses, and preparing items for packaging and labeling. Lead quality assurance efforts to maintain consistency, freshness, and product integrity. Oversee daily production to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment for multiple retail locations. Maintain proper food handling, cleanliness, and safety practices in compliance with all health regulations. Provide direction and support to team members during shifts, encouraging productivity and accountability.

Qualifications

2+ years of hands-on experience in deli or cheese production; previous leadership experience is a strong asset. Confident using slicers, scales, and other production equipment. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and food safety. Comfortable working in cold environments (coolers/freezers) and able to lift up to 50 lbs. Valid Food Handler's Certificate required.
