As a Deli Associate, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality food products. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work environment, ensuring food safety standards are met, and providing an enjoyable experience for our customers. Your ability to manage time effectively and engage with customers will contribute to the overall success of our deli operations.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve deli items, including meats, cheeses, salads, and sandwiches, while adhering to food safety guidelines. Operate the POS system, including Micros POS, to process customer transactions accurately. Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly and assisting them with their selections. Upsell products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the deli area, ensuring compliance with health regulations. Handle cash transactions responsibly and accurately manage cash handling procedures. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages as needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operation during peak hours.

Experience

Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred but not required. Familiarity with food preparation techniques and food handling practices is essential. Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing. Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service and teamwork. Knowledge of sanitation practices and food safety regulations is highly desirable.
