We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deli Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service and customer satisfaction. As a Deli Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers while preparing high-quality food items in a fast-paced environment. Your role will involve working with various food products, handling cash transactions, and ensuring that all food safety and sanitation standards are met.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve deli items, ensuring high quality and freshness Operate the POS system, including Micros POS, for efficient order processing Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and answering questions Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area in accordance with sanitation standards Ensure compliance with food safety regulations during food preparation and handling Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering supplies Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation of the deli department

Experience

Previous experience in food preparation or food service is preferred Familiarity with cashiering and cash handling procedures is beneficial Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently Basic math skills for accurate cash transactions and inventory management Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards is essential Restaurant experience or background in the food industry is a plus Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while providing exceptional customer service
