As a Deli Associate, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality food products. Responsibilities

Prepare and serve deli items, including meats, cheeses, salads, and sandwiches with attention to quality and presentation. Operate the POS system accurately for order processing and cash handling. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the deli area, adhering to food safety standards. Assist customers with their selections, providing knowledgeable recommendations and upselling when appropriate. Ensure proper food handling techniques are followed to maintain product freshness and safety. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours. Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking supplies as needed. Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding food preparation and customer service.

Skills

Proficient in food preparation techniques with a strong understanding of food safety regulations. Experience using POS systems, particularly Micros POS, for efficient transaction processing. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers. Cashiering experience with a focus on accuracy in cash handling. Knowledge of basic math for handling transactions and inventory counts. Familiarity with sanitation practices in a kitchen or food service setting. Previous experience in the restaurant or food industry is preferred but not required.
